After a superb Spring, an unstable Summer followed, due to constantly changing weather conditions (local hale and thunderstorms, a shy sunshine and quite a cool month of August ) bringing in the dread of a very medium quality vintage.
But a calm month of September, coloured by hot and dry winds, considerably accelerated the maturation process, maintaining the berries in a good sanitary state. The harvest required a strict grape removal however, to keep only the best quality grapes.
After a 2003 vintage characterized by a very low yield, the 2004 volumes are much more encouraging, approximately 10% higher than the average.
Elegant and fine, the red wines magnificently express through sharp redberry notes and present a fine tannic structure. They will certainly be enjoyed quite soon, surely before the 2002 Vintage.
