After having experienced the start of one of the hottest, most precocious springs of the past 50 years, what followed was one of the chilliest and wettest of summers.
Thankfully the north wind (our ally) began to blow on August 28th and didn’t stop until the end of September.
As a result, the expected end-of-August harvest was pushed back to the end of September. Today, in spite of the low yields, we are frankly pleased with the quality of this vintage. Whilethe reds are gluttonous and crispy with fruit, the whites are taut with a good minerality.
